Almighty Million Returns to Borgata

The Almighty Million Tournament Returns to the Borgata Casino on May 7.

The Borgata Casino and Spa is the swankiest property in Atlantic City. It boasts the largest poker room in A.C. On May 7, the Borgata and BetMGM Poker will host the Almighty Million Poker Tournament with a $800 buy-in and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.

Since its opening twenty years ago, the Borgata Casino has been one of the most popular gambling destinations on the East Coast. The opulent property in Atlantic City attracts international gamblers from Canada, Latin America, Europe, South America, and even Asia.

The Borgata’s poker staff knows how to host a fun tournament series. These popular events, like the Borgata Winter Open, were postponed during COVID. However, the Borgata is back to hosting big-time poker events in 2023.

The Almighty Million 100K Starting Stack

The initial Almighty Million originated as a part of the Borgata Winter Open, but now it’s become a stand-alone event scheduled for this May.

“Almighty has been synonymous with Borgata Poker for nearly a decade,” said Kellie DeCelis, Manager of Poker Operations at the Borgata. “It’s been three years since Borgata offered this type of event as part of the Borgata Winter Open, and Almighty is always one of the most anticipated events on the calendar that brings the same excitement with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.”

The Almighty Million has a $800 buy-in and a $1 million guarantee. There are four opening flights between May 7 and May 10. Play one, or play all four!

Almighty Million begins with Flight 1A on Sunday, May 7. Flight 1B is scheduled for Monday, May 8. The Flight 1C is on Tuesday, May 9. Flight 1D is the last chance to play, and the final flight begins on Wednesday, May 10.

Starting stacks are $100,000 in chips, which makes it one of the deepest and biggest starting stacks in any tournament on the East Coast.

Four Days of Action

Day 1 flights start at 2pm and consist of 16 levels. Each level is 30 minutes.

Day 2 begins at 11am on Thursday, May 11, and the goal is to play to Level 28. Levels on Day 2 are 40 minutes long.

Day 3 begins at 11am on Friday, May 12 with 40-minute levels. They’d love to play down to a final table if possible.

Day 4 is slated for Saturday, May 13. Levels at the final table are extended to 50 minutes.

The Almighty Million is an unlimited re-entries event through the first 12 levels of play during the four opening flights. Re-entries get preferential treatment during the opening flights.

Players can enter all four opening flights in this special “Best stack forward” affair. If players survive to the end of multiple Day 1 flights, their largest stack is the one that gets forwarded to Day 2.

Online registration for the Almighty Million begins on May 1, and you can register online on the day of the event up until 9pm ET.

You can also register for the Almighty Million in person, which begins on May 5 at the Borgata’s cage.

Qualifiers Start at $50

If you don’t have $800 for the entry fee to Almighty Million, then don’t sweat it. The Borgata will host five qualifying live satellites for as low as $50.

There’s a single $50 +10 turbo no-limit qualifier that takes place on Monday, May 1 at 6pm at the Borgata. It’s unlimited re-entries too. They will give away one seat to the $800 Almighty Million for every 16 entries in the $50 turbo qualifier.

You have two chances to play in a $100 qualifier for the Almighty Million on either Sunday, May 7 or Monday, May 8. The $100 + $25 big stack qualifier will award one $800 seat for every eight entries.

There’s also a pair of special $200 qualifier events for the Almighty Million. The $200 + $30 big stack qualifier begins on Friday, May 5 and there’s a second one on Tuesday, May 9. One of every four players in this qualifier will win an $800 seat into the Almighty Million.

Almighty Million Online Satellites at BetMGM

You can win a prize package for the Almighty Million on BetMGM Poker or on the Borgata’s poker skins. These Almighty Million online satellites commence on April 23.

The online satellite package is worth $2,000 and it includes the $800 entry fee to the Almighty Million, plus a hotel stay at the Borgata, and $500 cash (to use as travel expenses).

Online poker players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan can play in Almighty Million satellites via BetMGM Poker.

“The success of online qualifiers and the fantastic response to The Return shows that players want more of these omni-channel events that connect these great brands,” said Luke Staudenmaier, the Director of Poker for BetMGM. “BetMGM is excited to continue to partner with Borgata Poker to give players another chance to play at the East Coast’s premier poker destination.”

The Borgata teamed up with BetMGM Poker to boost the number of total entrants to the Almighty Million. Online players can get a chance to earn their $800 buy-in for a lower price point, plus they get a free hotel room and travel money. The Borgata and BetMGM’s partnership flourished during The Return when BetMGM Poker successfully hosted satellites for that big-time event.
