This is a very talented team that has gotten some fantastic goaltending.
It’s risky to take the likely President’s Trophy winner to win the Stanley Cup, because they almost never actually win the championship. In fact, the President’s Trophy winner hasn’t won the Cup since the 2013 Chicago Blackhawks 10 years ago. However, this Boston Bruins team might be the best regular-season team of all-time.

There’s a reason why the Bruins are this large of a favorite to make it out of the East, and that’s because they have easily been the best team in the NHL this season.
They have a great offense, defense, and the best goaltending in the league. the one thing that would hold me back is the fact that President’s Trophy winners tend to always lose before they make the Stanley Cup Final.
The Devils have everything they need to make a deep run: a great offense, a solid defense, and has actually gotten some great goaltending. I’ll ride with this squad until the end.
Avalanche Tops in the Western Conference
The Colorado Avalanche seems to have found the touch that made them so great last season, and why they are the defending Stanley Cup champions.
Forward Nathan MacKinnon was named the National Hockey League’s (NHL) First Star of the week.
MacKinnon recorded five goals and five assists in four games last week. Three of MacKinnon’s five goals were game-winning goals that helped Colorado take the lead in the Central Division.
This team is fantastic on both sides of the ice. I don’t think they are quite as dominant as last season’s team, I could definitely see them representing the Western Conference again.
